Talk Therapy is a type of therapy that clinicians use to communicate with their clients. The purpose is simple; to help individuals identify issues that can cause emotional distress. These issues may become complex and result in individuals being diagnosed with depression or anxiety. For some, talk therapy can serve as a safe space to discuss your feelings and emotions that may be triggered by life’s daily stressors. Once the issues have been identified, the clinician will assist in helping the client to understand how the stressors are affecting the client’s life. This provides an opportunity to problem solve and create solutions to help decrease the severity of symptoms.

Talk Therapy may be helpful in a variety of circumstances, such as:

  • Medical Illness

  • Relationship issues

  • Impacts of specific trauma

  • Loss

  • Grief

  • Relationship issues
